Dr. Charles Forbin (Eric Braeden) builds a supercomputer called Colossus in Colossus: The Forbin Project as part of a secret US government project. The purpose of the project is to protect America from the Soviet Union by building an advanced artificial intelligence program capable of responding to any and all types of possible nuclear attacks.

The computer called Colossus is put in charge of all nuclear weapons, but also controls all other computers letting keep an eye on everyone. Eventually Colossus discovers that the Soviets have built an similar computer called Guardian and asks to be hooked up with it. Eventually the two computers become one and decide that getting rid of humans is the best thing for the planet.

Its a good example of what can happen when a computer is put in charge of everything.

Price Note: The third party sale price is subject to change at any time without my knowledge.
