Illegal: Life and Death in Arizona's Immigration War Zone by Terry Greene Sterling documents the lives of undocumented illegal aliens mostly in Phoenix, Arizona. Sterling spent a good year or so following illegals around and talking to them about what its like to be an illegal alien in Arizona before reaching the obvious conclusion that it sucks to be an illegal alien in Arizona almost as much as it sucks to be a Mexican in Mexico. Terry Greene Sterling has been covering immigration issues as an Anglo Spanish speaking journalist for over 25 years during which she has won at least 49 national and regional journalism awards.
