Just looking at this NuWave mini oven makes me wish that I had one during college. It is tiny and because its electric it has no open flame, so you don't have to worry you resident assistant (RA) writing you up like you would if they caught you with a hotplate or some propane driven camping stove. It looks really easy to use too with its simple digital timer and button panel making it one of those open lid, put in food, close lid, set timer, and hit start types of things. I've never used one of these, so I can't compare it to a microwave. Still I think one of these would at the very least go well with a microwave and could even turn out to be a suitable substitute, but I'm not sure.
