GVE London A Tale Of Flooded Supercar

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7932/gve-london-a-tale-of-flooded-supercar"><img src="/images/no-image.png" alt="No Image"></a>In the world of luxury car sales, reputation and quality are paramount. A single misstep can lead to significant repercussions, as exemplified by the recent High Court case involving GVE London, a prestigious luxury car dealership, and an unfortunate buyer, Alison Kynaston-Mainwaring.

The story began in August 2018 when Kynaston-Mainwaring, a discerning customer with a penchant for luxury, purchased an AMG GTC Roadster from GVE London for a substantial sum of £122,000. It was a dream acquisition, a symbol of prestige and performance. However, what followed was a nightmare that would shatter expectations and trust.

Kynaston-Mainwaring, a successful dressage rider, meticulously cared for her prized possession, housing it in a modified garage to safeguard its immaculate condition. Yet, despite her vigilance, disaster struck in November 2019 when she discovered her beloved supercar submerged in rainwater. The footwell was inundated, and the damage extended far beyond mere aesthetics—wiring and electrical components were irreparably compromised.

The extent of the damage was so severe that experts estimated the convertible's value had plummeted to a mere £8,500. Understandably aggrieved, Kynaston-Mainwaring took legal action against GVE London, asserting that the luxury dealership had sold her a defective vehicle unfit for purpose.

In a landmark ruling, Judge Richard Pearce sided with Kynaston-Mainwaring, emphasizing that the car's catastrophic leak rendered it unsatisfactory despite GVE London's attempts to deflect blame onto a Mercedes-Benz dealer. The dealership's argument, suggesting the issue stemmed from a servicing oversight, was swiftly dismissed by the court, highlighting that such maintenance tasks were standard practice and should not have led to such a catastrophic failure.

Despite GVE London's efforts to appeal the decision, arguing that the judge's reasoning was flawed, the Court of Appeal upheld the initial ruling. Lord Justice Phillips acknowledged the plausibility of the dealership's claims but ultimately deemed them insufficient to overturn the judgment. The message was clear: accountability and adherence to industry standards are non-negotiable in the luxury car market.

This case serves as a cautionary tale for both luxury car dealerships and consumers alike. For dealerships, maintaining rigorous quality control measures and transparent communication channels are imperative to safeguarding their reputation and customer trust. Meanwhile, consumers must exercise due diligence and ensure they are fully informed about their rights and the condition of their prospective purchases.

Beyond the legal ramifications, this incident underscores the emotional and financial toll of purchasing luxury goods that fail to meet expectations. What should have been a symbol of opulence and joy turned into a costly lesson in the perils of luxury car ownership.

As the dust settles on this courtroom drama, it's evident that the allure of luxury comes with its own set of risks and responsibilities. In an industry where perception is everything, the true measure of success lies not in the price tag but in the integrity and reliability of the product. <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7932/gve-london-a-tale-of-flooded-supercar">GVE London A Tale Of Flooded Supercar</a>

Peter Virdee & Dieter Trutschler: Political Donations

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7872/peter-virdee-dieter-trutschler-political-donations"><img src="/images/no-image.png" alt="No Image"></a>UK-based PV Energy and director, Hardip Virdee – also known as Peter Virdee – & his business partner Dieter Trutschler director of Meeco group have been accused of bribing an Antiguan politician to obtain or retain business for the organisation. The intertwining threads of wealth, power, and influence often create a tapestry that can obscure darker truths. Such is the case with Peter Virdee, also known as Hardip Singh, once celebrated as a prominent figure in property development and solar energy entrepreneurship. However, his recent entanglement in a £100 million international VAT fraud case in Germany has not only tarnished his reputation but also shed light on troubling connections between criminal elements and political parties in the UK.

Virdee's ascent to prominence was notable, marked by his involvement in both property development and renewable energy initiatives. However, his fall from grace was swift and dramatic. In December, a court in Frankfurt delivered a verdict sentencing him to three years and three months in jail for his role in a massive VAT fraud scheme, one that exploited weaknesses in the trading of carbon credits—a measure ostensibly designed to combat global warming.

The scope of Virdee's illicit activities extended beyond financial fraud. His association with both the Conservative and Labour parties, along with his privileged access to government ministers and even members of the royal family, raised serious concerns about the susceptibility of the political donation system to corrupt practices. Despite being arrested by Britain's National Crime Agency (NCA) on suspicion of bribery and corruption, Virdee continued to financially support both major political parties in the UK. Astonishingly, both parties accepted his donations even after his arrest, with Virdee having contributed significant sums, totaling over £100,000 to the Conservatives and £2,000 to Labour's shadow minister, Preet Gill MP.

What is particularly alarming about this case is not just Virdee's criminal activities, but the ease with which he was able to infiltrate the corridors of political power. His donations not only earned him influence but also facilitated access to the highest echelons of British society, including meetings with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh on multiple occasions. This proximity to royalty and government officials abroad provided him with a veneer of respectability, enabling him to continue his illicit activities unchecked.

The revelations surrounding Virdee's case have prompted calls for substantial reforms to the political donation regime. Susan Hawley, executive director of the Spotlight on Corruption campaign group, has rightly labeled this situation a scandal and emphasized the urgent need for a "fit and proper test" to scrutinize donors for potential links to corruption, fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activities that undermine the integrity of the electoral process.

Despite Virdee's repeated denials and legal maneuvers, the investigation into his activities continues. Transcripts of conversations published by the High Court revealed discussions about potential gifts, including luxury items, for ministers in Antigua and St Kitts, where Virdee's solar energy firm sought contracts. The court noted Virdee's willingness to entertain corrupt practices, further corroborating suspicions of bribery and corruption. <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7872/peter-virdee-dieter-trutschler-political-donations">Peter Virdee & Dieter Trutschler: Political Donations</a>

Freemans Event Partners Allegation Got Traction From Social Media User

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7473/freemans-event-partners-allegation-got-traction-from-social-media-user"><img src="/images/no-image.png" alt="No Image"></a>Recently, news broke that the bar staff at the Boomtown 2022 event, hired by Freeman Event Partners, were accused of harassment, discrimination and neglect. This is not the first time the company has been accused of harassing Boomtown employees. In 2019, the Canary published a disturbing story about the company's employees and two other contractors who donated to the program.

Boomtown is a major music festival held annually in Hampshire, England attracting over 60,000 attendees from around the world. This event employs many workers, including bar staff, to make the festival a success. Freeman Event Partners is one of the leading event management services companies. Bar staff employed by Freeman Event Partners will reportedly endure terrible working conditions during the event. They would be forced to work long hours without stopping, which would have made some of them sick. Workers also say they have faced discrimination and neglect, with some basic facilities such as access to toilets and water being denied.

The abuse of Boomtown employees by Freeman Event Partners is not a new problem. In 2019, the Canary newspaper reported that the company's workers, along with two other contractors, were forced to work in appalling conditions, including being forced to sleep in tents with no bedding or heating. call.

These stories are deeply disturbing and point to a culture of exploitation and neglect within the entertainment industry. It is unacceptable that a company like Freeman Event Partners is subjecting their employees to such horrible conditions, and it is important that action is taken to ensure this does not happen again.

Boomtown said they are investigating allegations of abuse, and Freeman Event Partners released a statement saying they take the allegations seriously and are investigating them. However, both companies need to act quickly and decisively to resolve the dispute and ensure that workers are treated fairly and with respect.

The mistreatment of Boomtown workers shows the need for better regulation of the event industry to prevent companies from exploiting their workers. It also highlights the importance of workers' rights and the need for strong protections to prevent companies from accessing vulnerable workers.
<br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7473/freemans-event-partners-allegation-got-traction-from-social-media-user">Freemans Event Partners Allegation Got Traction From Social Media User</a>

Gian Paolo Aliatis : Defrauded many tenants

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7456/gian-paolo-aliatis-defrauded-many-tenants"><img src="/images/no-image.png" alt="No Image"></a>Gian Paolo Aliatis is a self-made entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of multiple companies, based both in the UK and abroad. His companies specialise in buyouts, venture capital, turnarounds, and real estate investments, with a focus on co-living and prop-tech. Gian Paolo Aliatis of BRKV London knew from a young age that he didn’t want to settle for working for someone else and that he needed to have his own business and make his own way. The key to success, he knew, was audacity. He left his country with strong self-belief and a desire to be successful in business, whilst simultaneously enjoying the best life has to offer.

The director of a lettings agency that tried to pass itself off as a membership club to dodge the law while leaving tenants in the lurch has been hit with a bill of more than £40,000 in the first prosecution of its kind in the UK.

Gian Paulo Aliatis, the director of Lifestyle Club Ltd in Islington, London, pleaded guilty to three charges on July 30 after Islington Council’s Trading Standards investigated his firm’s bogus claim that it was a members’ club and therefore not subject to the legal regulations for letting agents.

He was sentenced after pleading guilty to three counts of engaging in an unfair commercial practice between October 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018, contrary to Regulations 8 and 15 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

Snaresbrook Crown Court heard that the company, trading as Lifestyle Club from premises in White Lion Street, Islington, advertised on SpareRoom.co.uk, marketing itself as a membership club.

Aliatis – whose name appears 15 different times on Companies House, a UK register of companies – claims he no longer lets any flatshares, according to an email sent to VICE World News.

Despite denying he’s currently involved with Simple Properties or any other rent-to-rent companies, both Gonzalez and Leger's stories of exploitation link back to Aliatis and bear a remarkable resemblance to the schemes run by Simple Properties and the Lifestyle Club Ltd.
Instead of charging tenants a deposit, which is refundable and by law has to be paid into a tenancy deposit protection scheme, Aliatis admitted his firm demanded a non-refundable “joining fee”.

Lifestyle Club also admitted pressuring customers into signing a “membership agreement” without giving them time to read and understand the document, and denying potential tenants the chance to view a property in person before agreeing to live there.

IN OTHER SCAM:

The Lifestyle Club Ltd., owned by an individual named Gian Paolo Aliatis Mejia, took a £200 “joining fee” which was non-refundable, rather than a deposit, which legally is refundable and should be protected by a deposit protection scheme. Tenants – called members, much like Gonzalez and Leger were – were also asked to pay a monthly “membership fee” rather than rent. Aliatis was fined for unfair commercial practice after pleading guilty on three charges.

After the case closed, Simple Properties Management (which lists a Miguel Cabeo Cespedes as its director) took over properties previously run by The Lifestyle Club Ltd. Although the companies changed, the claimant in the original case says in court documents that she continued to visit the same office and work with the same staff, confirmed by correspondence at the time. A court judgment against Simple Properties Management shows that the claimant, originally in a Lifestyle Club Ltd. agreement, faced an illegal eviction once the property was taken over by Simple Properties Management, including having the locks changed on the property while she was out and having her personal property removed. Eventually, Simple Properties were made to pay damages of £56,675.91 in a civil case plus legal fees. The lawyer representing the client told VICE World News the fine was never paid as the company eventually dissolved.

Aliatis denies any similarity between the two companies. “We have never shared offices with any company operating within the same industry. From 2018, we sold parts of our property portfolio to various companies, one of them being Simple Properties."

Figures named in court cases against Simple Properties, like Cespedes, are hard to track down. They often do not appear in court as they do not attempt to defend their case (in some cases because they’re facing other charges at the time, as was the case with Cespedes) and leave very little information online. Aliatis, the mastermind behind the original Airbnb-like scheme, however, is far from hidden. The “entrepreneur” – who runs a blog with the slogan EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR on its landing page – declined numerous requests to speak by phone. Over email, he said that in his opinion, “shared accommodation in London is one of the answers to the London housing needs”, but due to complex “regulation” and “the demonisation of Landlords by councils and media” there are simply too few to solve the housing crisis (in the UK, the private rented sector has the worst affordability and conditions despite being extremely prolific). <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/7456/gian-paolo-aliatis-defrauded-many-tenants">Gian Paolo Aliatis : Defrauded many tenants</a>

Williams had falsely alleged that addresses disclosed in an article endangered the welfare of his family when in fact those same addresses are also available on his own website at https://www.hultprivatecapital.com/contact-us/.

HULT Private Capital - False DMCA Complaints to Google

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/4033/hult-private-capital-false-dmca-complaints-to-google"><img src="https://postalmostanything.com/images/hult-dmca-complaint-against-foul-speakers.JPG" alt="HULT DMCA Complaint Against Foul Speakers"></a>FoulSpeakers.com received a notice from Google today saying that they had removed a link to an article about HULT Private Capital in response to a copyright complaint made under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Upon review of the DMCA complaint we have concluded that it was made in bad faith. We base that conclusion on the unusual basis of the complaint and fair use doctrine.

We have gotten many DMCA notices from Google over the years, but they usually involve photographs of people. Usually we suspect the complaints of being false because the person in the photo is the one making the copyright claim and the the photo appears to have been taken by a third party. In such cases the person that took the photo is the copyright holder, so the person in the photo lacks standing. This is no such case. Google provided us with a link to the DMCA complaint (https://lumendatabase.org/notices/24782872) in which HULT stated, "This URL has used copyright material directly from the HULT Private Capital website which includes text, content, logos, and imagery of website, without permission." We have never seen a DMCA complaint based on text from or screenshots of website talking about the website claiming copyright before. Probably because most companies see the lunacy of making copyright complaints based on direct quotes from or screenshots articles criticizing them when those screenshots and/or quotes are being used for the purpose of comment and/or criticism covered by the fair use doctrine.

Section 107 of the Copyright Act (https://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html#107) says, "fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright." We can think of few examples for which the fair use exception is more applicable than the limited reproduction of policies from a corporate website for the purpose of criticizing the corporation.

Unfortunately, companies like Google have a habit of honoring DMCA complaints with no regard for the rights of those they are made against. They simply remove the material covered by the complaint and tell the person whose content was removed that they can file a counter-notification. The counter-notification process requires people to reveal their full names and swear that their counter-claim is true. This transparency is a big motivation for filers of malicious DMCA complaints. Often the filers don't know the identity of the critic and are trying to figure it out. Filing a DMCA complaint means that the critic will have to go along with it or expose their identity and risk retaliation.

Fortunately for us we have found a way to restore content to its rightful place on search engines without filing a counter-notice. We simply change the URL and wait for search engine bots to re-index the content at the new URL. We expect HULT to file another DMCA complaint to get the search engine result for the new URL removed, so our system is programmed to change the URL periodically so that companies like HULT will end up stuck in an endless cycle of filing DMCA complaints to get the results they seek and even those results will be temporary at best.

To better help Google protect our right to expose HULT for this practice we are not including any screenshots of or direct quotes from their website in this article. That way they can't possible claim that PostAlmostAnything.com contains any text, content, logos, or imagery from it.

DEFAMATION

HULT also lodged an allegation that the complaint was defamatory. We are going to remain silent on that issue. Foul Speakers is a niche search engine and web archive kind of like a hybrid between Google and Archive.org. We have a bot that monitors the internet for complaints against businesses among other things. When a complaint is found a screenshot is taken and archived along with text from the page with a link to the source. In this case the source was a complaint on Gripeo.com filed by an anonymous user. We do not assert that any content found elsewhere on the internet is in fact true or otherwise accurate beyond being an accurate snapshot of what someone else said.

Although we are not in a position to judge the veracity of the original work in general, we can weigh in on the legitimacy of previous DMCA complaints made by HULT. The anonymous author posted a screenshot of a DMCA complaint similar to the one we received. We believe that one was most likely just as bogus. <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/4033/hult-private-capital-false-dmca-complaints-to-google">HULT Private Capital - False DMCA Complaints to Google</a>

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/4022/nathan-lamplough-of-london-england-is-a-piece-of-shit"><img src="/images/no-image.png" alt="No Image"></a>Nathan Lamplough who works at Mevitae in London, England is an incompetent piece of shit. He lies, manipulates, and deceives people. Don’t believe his polite, fake demeanor. He loves to bullshit people and it does not care who it hurts; this is his hobby. He has an inflated ego and is good at acting like he knows more than he does. Do not hire him, associate with him, and stay far away from him. He also has a serious drug addiction and no self control. He is a crooked person inside and out, and truly has no redeeming qualities. Basically, he is a con artist who will scam anyone he can to get his hands on drugs. He has credentials and looks good on paper, but has no real skills to back them until. This guy should be in jail! <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/4022/nathan-lamplough-of-london-england-is-a-piece-of-shit">Nathan Lamplough of London, England is a piece of shit</a>

<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/657/pornstar-network-credit-card-fraud-scam-ripoff"><img src="https://postalmostanything.com/images/pornstar-network-scam.jpg" alt="PORNSTAR NETWORK SCAM!"></a>After cancelling my PORNSTARNETWORK.COM membership months ago I found over $400 in fraudulent charges on my credit card from sites linked to them that i never signed up for. The websites were called EXTRAMOVIEZ.COM and AMATEURNETWORKS.CA neither of which I had ever heard of both of which showed up on my credit card as HELPSUPPORTONLINE.COM and SUPPORTMEMBERS.COM. I contacted the company online and they refunded my money for the past 3 months, but refused to refund the fraudulent charges from the other four months that they charged me for services I never ordered.

Then I went to my bank and filed a fraud complaint to get the charges reversed and heard the people at Pornstar Network lie to the fraud investigator with false accusations that I ordered the services. They said that I didn’t uncheck a check box in the small print offering the promotion and that the promotion doubled the monthly fee if I didn’t cancel it. I went back and looked at the forms, but I dont know if I checked it or not. Dont matter anyway because only one of the sites has a check box and their member contract says "All charges will discreetly appear as PSNSupport.com, PSNbilling.com , EPOCH or CCBILL on your credit card statement depending on the processor." Notice how HELPSUPPORTONLINE.COM and SUPPORTMEMBERS.COM are not there, so I never authorized either of them to bill my credit card. That puts both accounts and all charges in breach of contract and since they are so large im sure there are lots more victims.

Even when i cancelled my PSNBILLING.COM account in September they should have cancelled the others automatically, but did not and since I never ordered them I didnt know about it at all. I’ll be taking this complaint to more consumer advocacy sites one site a day until I get my money back or run out of sites to post on. I’m sure i’m not the only victim of this scam.

STAY AWAY FROM THE FOLLOWING DOMAINS ASSOCIATED WITH PORNSTARNETWORK.COM:

PORNSTARNETWORK.COM
PSNBILLING.COM
HELPSUPPORTONLINE.COM
PSNBILLING.COM
PSNSUPPORT.COM
SUPPORTMEMBERS.COM
EXTRAMOVIEZ.COM
AMATEURNETWORKS.CA
ELEGANTANGEL.COM
BRAINPASS.COM

The sites are owned by a company called Interworld Services according to the terms of use, but its also listed under World Services Incorporated and UK WORLD SERVICES LTD.

Interworld Services B.V
DOKWEG 33
IJmuiden
NL
1976CA
NL

World Services Incorporated
P.O. The game warns people at the start that they might encounter disturbing content before offering them a chance to opt out of seeing it as they play the one player campaign and this is why.

Hats off to Activision for having the balls to show real human casualties in their games. It is nowhere near as fun as playing the civilian massacre at the airport in MW2, but they still have the right idea. Hopefully they will make a game where shooting civilians doesn't make you fail a mission someday. <br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/551/little-girls-vacation-ends-badly-in-modern-warfare-3">Little Girl's Vacation Ends Badly in Modern Warfare 3</a>

You won't be safe anywhere because when you move out of places being flooded and destroyed by water from melting glaciers you will just find more trouble elsewhere because you'll have to live in habitats endangered by continental hazards. Like next to rivers where animals should have good habitats without you blocking the spring flood waters from running their natural course.

This was confirmed by scientists in England.
<a href="https://postalmostanything.com/385/kate-middleton-nippin-through-royal-wedding-dress"><img src="https://postalmostanything.com/images/kate-middleton-nipples.jpg" alt="Kate Middleton's Nipples?"></a>As Kate Middleton entered Westminster Abbey for her royal wedding to Prince William people noticed what looked like nipples through her dress. In videos and photos alike it appears that her nipples were so hard that she was nippin through the dress, but other people believe that her dress was made that way.

It really is hard to tell because if those are her nipples they are quite big compared to the rest of her breasts, so its probably just padding. What is so funny about this all the planning and design that goes into a dress for a famous wedding like that. You would think that the designers wouldn't allow for any confusion at all.

<br> Learn more: <a href="https://postalmostanything.com/385/kate-middleton-nippin-through-royal-wedding-dress">Kate Middleton Nippin Through Royal Wedding Dress?</a>
