When Dr. Birkin refuses to hand over his "life's work" one of the mercenaries opens fire with an MP5 sub-machine gun knocking a supposedly dead Birkin to the floor before taking possession of the virus. Surprisingly Birkin is both not dead and still has a syringe full of the virus that he uses to inject himself causing a mutation to occur. What follows is a massacre of the Umbrellas Mercenaries by a hideous mutant.
