The Finnish Immigration Service formerly known as the Directorate of Immigration is part of the Department of the Interior in charge of alien affairs in Finland. They handle requests for visas for workers, students, etc. as well as requests for asylum and citizenship. Their website (linked to above) contains application forms, extensive documentation of policies and legislation, fees, and other useful information for any foreigner in Finland.

Official British Government Visa Services Website

The United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) Visa Services website (linked to above) is the British government’s official online resource for visa services and information. There you can take the “Do I need a visa?” online quiz that will tell you if you are or are at risk of becoming an illegal alien in the United Kingdom. If the quiz tells you that you need a visa or you already knew that you needed a visa and did not take the quiz you can also apply for a visa online right there. They also have a frequently asked questions page exists just in case you have any question about the website.

Report Tax Evasion in America to the IRS and Win Free Money

List of Mexican Consulates in North and Central America

The Foreign Ministry of Mexico has published a directory of it's consulates in the United States, Canada, and Central America. Given the current political climate in the southwestern United States these resources could not be more useful for Mexican citizens in the United States, especially when it comes to immigration information.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is in charge of processing immigration requests from foreign nationals. This includes requests for asylum, citizenship, permanent residence, refugee status, and other matters of concern to legal as well as illegal aliens in the United States or people thinking of coming to America. The Green Card Permanent Residence Section provides information about how to become a legal alien in America for 10 years or 2 years for cases involving conditional resident aliens. Specific subsections describe various circumstances for which people can obtain a Green Card such as trough family, work, refugee or asylum status, and other less common circumstances such as being an American Indian born in Canada. The Citizenship Section discusses how you can become a citizen either through Naturalization or Parents. The latter pertaining to children of Americans born in other countries and the former containing a guide complete for guidelines that a foreigner must meet in order to be properly assimilated into American society. The Humanitarian Section details special circumstances for which you might be able to obtain legal alien status as a refugee seeking asylum. Circumstances that may qualify people for asylum typically involve incidents of persecution as well as natural disasters. The Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service (INIS) is a government website was launched back in 2005 as a self described "one stop shop" to immigration resources for foreigners in Ireland. It contains detailed information about visas, citizenship, asylum, and repatriation.

Global List of Mexican Embassies

The Mexican Ministry of Foreign affairs has a list all Mexican Embassies on Earth available on their website (linked to above). Embassies are typically in or near the capital city of the country that they are in. Like consulates they offer resources for people from Mexico in other countries in Spanish regardless of their immigration status, but unlike consulates there is never more than one embassy per country. The next couple of listing in the resource directory will focus on consulates since they tend to be more geographically convenient for Mexicans in need of their services.

US Customs and Border Protection Field Offices

The United States Customs and Border Protection division of the Department of Homeland Security is responsible for protecting the Mexican and Canadian borders as well as sea ports from foreign dangers. On rare occasions they may be seen patrolling areas of the border for illegal alien activity, but are usually busy elsewhere doing just that.
